Under 14's Eagles & Kestrels
The Byron Red Star under 14’s Eagles are currently in division 1, whilst the Kestrels are in the division 2. The Under 14's league currently consists of 5 divisions with 'Premier' being the highest and division '4' being the lowest. Each division has between 9/12 teams in each.
This season both teams will play a minimum of 18 matches in the league, plus on average a further 6 friendlies throughout the year. In addition to this we would also enter a number of tournaments (3-5 per season) where there would be up to 50 teams present including the U7’s up to the U17’s who play 11 aside. At these tournaments, including our own Byron tournament, on average we play about 5-6 games.
Our teams consists of between 15 – 18 boys (we can have up to a maximum of 22 players registered) aged 13 and 14 who generally live in and around the Hornchurch, Gidea Park and Harold Wood area in the London Borough of Havering. The matches are 11 aside and are 70 minutes in length, which are played as two 35 minute half’s . The season generally starts in September and ends in May, with a short winter break over the festive period.
