Under 11 Eagles

We currently only have one under 11's team, they are the Byron Red Star Eagles, they are currently in the ‘ANGEL’ division.  The Under 11’s league currently consists of 9 divisions all named after London underground stations with 10 teams in each division.  Although the scores are recorded and used to ensure teams are playing other teams of the same ability, league tables are not kept and the focus is on the development of the children’s football capability.

Our teams consists of  between 12 – 15 boys (we can have up to a maximum of 18 players registered) aged 10 and 11 who generally live in and around the Hornchurch, Gidea Park and Harold Wood area in the London Borough of Havering.  The matches are 9 aside and are 60 minutes in length, which are played as two 30 minute halves .  The season generally starts in September and ends in March, with a short winter break over the festive period.

This season both teams will play a minimum of 24 matches in the league (teams can get moved around at certain times of the year to even the divisions out), plus on average a further 6 friendlies throughout the year.  In addition to this we would also enter a number of tournaments (3-5 per season) where there would be up to 50 teams present including the U7’s up to the U17’s who play 11 aside.  At these tournaments, including our own Byron tournament, on average we play about 5-6 games.
