FA Accredited Club Award

Byron Red Star FC have always strived for excellence both on and off the pitch and to further enhance this we were awarded the FA Charter Standard status in June 2020 and have since become a two star accredited club.

 

The FA's Accredited Club programme recognises and rewards high quality of levels of provision in club, league and school’s football.  Since it was launched in 2001, the award has been granted to 4,500 clubs with 460 advanced level Community clubs and 120 leagues, and there are now over 2,500 Charter Standard Award Schools in England.

Accredited clubs are expected to maintain and improve their environments. As such Byron Red Star FC are asked to ensure the following minimum standards are upheld:

  • Our club commits to completing the annual health check each season following initial accreditation.

  • Our club commits to having a stocked first aid kit available at all training sessions and fixtures.

 

Working with the Essex FA, we also have to provide evidence of the following processes or procedures:

  • Club constitution and rules in place

  • Committee meeting minutes taken regularly

  • Most recent club AGM minutes taken

  • Annual accounts available

  • Club code of conduct in place

  • Club safeguarding policy in place

  • Club equality policy in place

  • Relevant coaching, first aid and safeguarding qualifications in place and in date

 

Our club understands the requirement and criteria of The FA Accredited Club programme. We are proud to commit to raising standards in our club and in grassroots football more widely.
