The Norman French Award
Towards the end of each season, the players, parents, coaches and committee of Byron Red Star Football Club are asked to nominate someone for their Club person and Rising Star of the Year.
The winner of each of the nominations receives the Norman French Award, which is in honour of our legendary founder and President Norman French.
The criteria for selecting the winner of the two awards are based on three aspects:
Club person – Awarded to a coach, assistant coach, parent who has displayed the following through the season:
Outstanding commitment to the club
Contribution to the organising, delivering and participation of club activities
Help towards raising the profile of the club and having a positive impact on our members and the wider community.
Rising Star – Awarded to a Byron player of any age group who has displayed the following through the season:
Effort on the field of play;
Effort and help off the field of play;
