Byron started well and went one up after great work on the right from Leo leborgne who fed Owen Hutchinson and he finished well into the bottom corner.
The Byron midfield of Liam Battrum and Lennie Nicholson controlled the game and created another chance for Hutchinson who finished calmly to double the lead. Just before the break Byron doubled there lead again with a great long range effort from Louie King and a well worked passing move in which Nicholson finished off superbly.
Into the second half and Thurrock looked like a different team they struck two early goals to put themselves back in the game. However, George London kept his concentration and pulled off a string of good saves to keep the home team ahead.
Byron held on to claim the three points in there last home fixture of the season.
