Route to the Final: The Byron Red Star FC U9 Eagles Cup campaign begun very shakily and somehow scrapped out the group stage on goal difference! The 16 last saw the Eagles get the better of Hannikans Whites in a close encounter, there was an even a closer encounter against our Falcons with the Eagles squeezing past on them on penalties after a cracking game. The Semi-final was no different with Eagles flying out the blocks to take an early lead against Billericay Red only for the Red’s to hit the Eagles with a quick-fire double to take a 2-1 lead into HT. The Eagles continued to dominate and deservedly drew level in the second half but was unable to force a winner, meaning once again it was down to penalties, with the Eagles coming through 5.4!

Let’s hope the Eagles have saved some luck for the final… Come on you Byron !
