This weekend saw all three of our Under 8 teams put in excellent performances in their respective leagues.

The Eagles have well and truly put their shock defeat at the beginning of the season behind them by winning a close encounter against GPR. Both teams battled hard with goals going in from left, right and centre but eventually the match was decided by some individual brilliance. (Eagles won 6-4 - MOM - Owen) .

The Hawks continue their fine form and remain undefeated, however they were made to work for it by coming from behind to lead 3-2 at half time. The boys came out at half time and added a couple more goals after some great play by Riley and it looked like they would see the match out comfortably. But credit to Ridgeway Rovers they kept going and with the Byron Manager experimenting with a few changes in personal and positions they managed to get back in the match and ended up scoring their 5th goal with the last kick of the game. (Hawks won 6-5 - MOM Frank).

Lastly the Kestrels put in an excellent performance against a big and strong Buckhurst Hill, and were unlucky losing in this close encounter. Little Freddie playing his first game of season in goal did fantastically well to keep the Kestrels in the game but despite having a number of chances they just couldn't score. (Kestrels lost 0-2 - MOM Freddie).

Overall it was a good weekend for our U8's with all of the boys increasing their confidence and playing some great football.
